Spencer Home

Spencer Home is a treatment program located in Fort Wayne, IN. Spencer Home consists of four apartments and has space for up to 10 youths. Spencer Home provides treatment for youth who have mental health & behavioral needs, history of sexually harmful behaviors, history of substance use, and who need treatment beyond what outpatient and in-home services can provide.

While at Spencer Home, youth work through treatment issues while practicing age-appropriate independent living skills. We work with each youth to accomplish these goals by focusing on employment, education, healthy relationships, connection to community supports, and home management. While at Spencer Home, youths pursue educational goals and employment. The staff help the youths to create a resume, look for job openings, apply for jobs, interview for positions, and find transportation (monthly bus passes are provided for all youths).

If the youth has not yet finished high school or high school equivalency, it is a priority to help him complete his education first. Staff at Spencer Home help youths work toward a high school diploma or high school equivalency. If the youth has a desire to further his education by attending college, Spencer Home staff can help him apply for and attend one of the numerous Fort Wayne colleges.
